Overview

A tale of two veils, is a journey dwelling into the lives of two women from rural India and their experiences of dealing with patriarchy in their society. While defying the odds of illiteracy, poverty and pre-modern mindsets, our two characters, Jassu and Sadana, have each their own challenges of living a life as a woman in their society

Jassu having never traveled beyond her village limits, can only rely on her imagination on what life is like for a woman beyond the horizon. On the other hand, Sadana, with all the worldly exposure; is trying to instill positive attitudes into the women's group she mentors, hoping that the women in the village will stand up and fight back on their own when the time comes

Set in the beautiful landscapes of Rajasthan, India, the film get a fresh perspective when director Vivek Nipani, visits the people of Bheemroda to discover that patriarchy is still rampant in today's 'modern' society.
